H.R. 2272 Update

On July 31, the House voted to disagree with the Senate amendment (incorporation of S. 761) to H.R. 2272. The Speaker of the House appointed conferees from the Committee on Science and Technology for consideration of the House bill and the Senate amendment and modifications. The Conferees included: Gordon, Lipinski, Baird, Wu, Lampson, Udall (CO), Giffords, McNernt, Hall (TX), Sensenbrenner, Ehlers, Biggert, Feeney and Gingrey. The speaker also appointed conferees from Committee on Education and Labor. The conferees (Miller, George, Holt and McKeon) held a conference and agreed to file the conference report.
